About D.B.A. Barbecue
Matt Coggin is the managing partner and familiar face in the dining room. We say familiar face because over the past ten years he has
worked as a server, bartender, beverage manager, manager, and general manager at
some of the most popular Virginia-Highland and Inman Park neighborhood
restaurants: Harvest, La Tavola, Wisteria, Sala, and Kevin Rathbun’s Steak. Matt joined forces with James
Ehrlich of Eclipse di Luna to create this exciting new concept for the
Virginia-Highland dining scene. The third partner, Lee Coggin, ASID, designed and
remodeled the former Vine Restaurant space to give it a totally new look.
D.B.A. Barbecue offers regional
barbecue: pulled pork, baby back ribs, smoked turkey, smoked
chicken and even smoked tofu. The
smokehouse plates include a wide choice of made from scratch sides. D.B.A. also offers
oysters on the half-shell, and other southern
favorites. The bar features
eight regional premium tap beers, over 40 bottled beers, signature cocktails, international wine list,
and novelty sodas.
